Radio Biographical Information

1979

Started to play with CB radio under the handle of 'Spokesman', as I cycled everywhere, and worked for an umbrella manufacturer at the time.

1982

I took the 'ticket', as I could not see my future in CB radio, and became a class B license holder.

 

1983

I joined Sheffield Raynet. I also went on holiday to Malta, and took out the reciprocal license of  9H3BZ, and used it every year in May and December until 1988.

1988

Decided to live in Malta, and exchanged the reciprocal callsign for the permanent class B callsign  9H5MP.

To Date

I'm married with a child and two step children, and now live back in the UK.

I'm a member of Keighley Raynet taking part in exercises in and around West Yorkshire, and Sheffield Raynet, (not as active now) doing the lead car for the Sheffield Marathon in recent years.

 

P.S. If you have heard 9H3BZ since 1994, it will have been my father (G7MOO) as he uses it when on holiday.
